Finally the last of the 5 presidentiables interviewed for our Presidentiables Special on #RatedKorina this weekend, Bongbong Marcos. BBM welcomes us in the home of one of his best friends in Makati. Kasama nanagad si Chewy, short for Chewbaka his fur baby. He loves dogs too. He talks about growing up with dogs. Straight to the kitchen where we requested him to show authentic ilocano pinakbet ala BBM. Ang pinakbet niya ay may sili at bagoong balayan. Minsan patis. Have to say: ANSARAP. With matching crispy bagnet. OMG. I believe each candidate is just as human as we all are. They have a side to them that’s ordinary that we all must also see. As family people, as sons and fathers and husbands, as dog lovers, as kitchen masters. So here before the hard questions is Bongbong Marcos behind the politics. 🇵🇭

University students in Philippines rally against budget cuts, alleged corruption in government Students from the University of the Philippines have staged a walk-out in protest over corruption in the government. Some faculty members and activist groups joined the rallies, denouncing budget cuts and infrastructure projects that have either stalled, are substandard or in some instances, do not even exist. Two inquiries have already implicated two senators and at least 17 members of the House of Representatives in kickbacks linked to flood-control projects. Buena Bernal reports from Metro Manila.
