Davao City May 6, 2022 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the Hugpong ng Pagbabago - Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HNP-HTL) miting de avance at the San Pedro Square in Davao City. Davao City Vice Mayor and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) Local Chairperson Sebastian Duterte delivered the welcome remarks. An audio-visual presentation (AVP) was shown presenting short clips of the President and in the same moment, the Chief Executive was welcomed back to Davao City after six (6) years of serving as President of the Republic of the Philippines. In President Duterte’s speech, he thanked the Davaoeños for the trust given to him when he served as Mayor in Davao City for 23 years, for making him their First District Representative in the City, for being Vice Mayor, and for electing him as President of the Philippines. He appealed to the public to give his children a chance to serve the people and the country, with Sebastian Duterte running as Davao City Mayor, Sara Duterte seeking the Vice Presidency, and Paolo Duterte running as Davao City’s First District Representative. He promised his fellow Davaoeños that he will continue to oversee Davao City as a civilian after his term ends, and assured them that he will remain a servant of the people. The Chief Executive also made it clear that he does not support any presidential candidate.
