Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) is an 8.9-km. tollway bridge and 3rd linkage of Cebu and Mactan. Connecting Cebu City in South Road Properties and Cordova in Barangay Pilipog. This mega infrastructure is a project of Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation under a joint venture agreement with the City of Cebu and Municipality of Cordova. Once open, this mega toll expressway bridge will utilize an all-electronic collection system to ensure safe and seamless travel experience. Here are some fun facts about the Php30-Billion CCLEX:

Crosses length: 40 meters each
No. of crosses: 8 total/ 4 on each pylon (lights up at night)
No. of lanes per direction: 2 (4 total)
No. of toll gates: 8 total (4 per direction)
Equipped with multi-directional bearings for earthquake proofing (upto 7.8 mag.)
Equipped with 2 Road Weather Information Systems
Utilizing RFID systems in its tollway
Daily capacity of 50,000 vehicles
Equipped with Weigh-in-motion sensors that will detect overloaded vehicles
Equipped with IP-Based Speed Detection Cameras and HD CCTVs
Service facilities such as gasoline stations, retail outlets, convenience stores, restaurants
24/7 security, medical, and maintenance centers
This is Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway today in hyperlapse (April 29, 2022). Inaugurated last April 27, 2022. The opening ceremony was led by no other than President Rodrigo R. Duterte. No confirmed date yet as to when this Toll Expressway Bridge will be open to the public. Stay informed by following CCLEX facebook page.
