Makati Intra Subway Line (MRT5 presumed) - UPDATE

Makati Intra Subway Line (MRT5 presumed) - UPDATE

The first Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) of the Makati Subway system has arrived in the Makati City Hall grounds and Ongoing Excavation.
Take note:
This Chinese backed project subway line (local project of city of makati) is a different project and not related to the Metro Manila subway project (mrt9) which is a national Gov't project.
So the Philippines will have a makati intra subway line (presumed mrt5) and another separate project backed by Japan for MRT9- Metro Manila subway line.
2 separate subway mass transit system soon!

DOTr Secretary ART TUGADE to PRRD

Even before he was President, I felt from having seen him up close and personal in San Beda that Rodrigo Roa Duterte is destined to be a great leader.
Because more than anything else, he has that very strong affinity, understanding and appreciation of the “common tao”. He knows very well what we all are aspiring.
And until this very day, I remember our very first Cabinet meeting where he [President Duterte] gave his remarkable marching order for all of us-- GIVE THE FILIPINO A COMFORTABLE LIFE.
From the very beginning, I have always believed in him. And till the very end, I will remain true to his mandate.- Sec. Art Tugade

When the bridge is finished, the land travel will only be seven minutes left between Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, and Tubod, Lanao del Norte from the previous two and a half hours.
Panguil Bay Bridge will also help to reduce travel time between Cagayan De Oro and Iligan to Tangub and the northern Zamboanga Region.

LIVE: President Rodrigo Roa Duterte

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte leads the inauguration of the Philippine Ports Authority’s (PPA) Seaport Expansion Project at the Puerto Princesa Port in Palawan on November 4, 2021.

The Puerto Princesa Port serves as Palawan’s primary maritime gateway for commerce, trade and tourism. Its expansion project, made possible through the efforts of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the PPA, was completed to boost the port’s productivity, particularly in its long-haul connection to Metro Manila and planned connectivity to Mindoro via the Port of Bulalacao.
In the past five (5) years, the Puerto Princesa Port underwent several expansions and improvements to address the needs of its users. This day, President Duterte, together with DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade and PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago, inaugurates the port’s new additional back-up area. Its construction was completed on July 20, 2021.
The expansion of the Puerto Princesa Port forms part of the 472 commercial and social-tourism projects accomplished by the DOTr and the PPA across the country since 2016.
During the event, the Chief Executive also reads the proclamation for the commissioning of the Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) recently acquired Cessna Caravan Plane as PCG 2081 Aircraft and unveils the station marker of the PCG Kalayaan Station.
According to the DOTr, the newly constructed station located in Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan is equipped with facilities that shall help sustain the living conditions of the personnel deployed in the Island who are securing the country’s maritime borders.
